Like many people this year has been fairly hectic/overwhelming for us - I can’t believe it’s over a year since the last studio note.
Art in the Barn 2025 begins tonight with the PV and is on from tomorrow through to Sunday 10 - 4. It’s always such a thrill and honour to be invited to exhibit and Steve and I hung my section this morning. We were both so impressed by all the glorious work that had already been hung and the new layout - it’s fabulous.
This has been a difficult year for painting. After the house sale fell through last September we despaired that we would still be able to move to the house we had fallen in love with. The owners restored our faith in humanity by sticking with us and we eventually moved west at the beginning of March. It’s a perfect spot for us and we are busy making the house ours - this has included a complete gutting of the kitchen and a refit. Tough! My ‘on borrowed time’ knee has run out of time and gets replaced on 5 November. The good news is that I now have a dedicated studio -
It has magnificent views over towards Macclesfield Forest, Shutlingsloe etc and we can even see the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank. As soon as I’m more mobile it will be wonderful to really get going in there.
Until next year! No, seriously, I will do better.
